LearningAround is an educational service business specializing in after-school programs in the Bloomington, Richfield, Shakopee, Eden Prairie, and Edina area.
Founded in 2016, the goal of LearningAround is to bring educational and fun activities to students. Many of the programs offered include a hike around the school grounds to track seasonal changes in the local plant and animal community.
Owner, Deborah Carlson, is a licensed teacher and has many years of experience teaching in the elementary school classroom as well as teaching in informal settings. She has worked in the education department at Chicago's Field Museum and interned at the Shedd Aquarium. She has taught many classes through Bloomington Community Education, Shakopee Community Education, Richfield Community Education, and Edina Community Education. When not teaching after-school programs, Deb works as a Mississippi River Educator.
