Math

I am also a math teacher!

When I am not teaching nature and astronomy classes I am a math intervention teacher. I recently wrote a blog post about skip-counting. Read it here.

Tiny Polka Dot cards feature dot patterns, ten frame images, and numerals. The cards can be used in so many different ways. In intervention sessions, we might arrange them in a line, play a memory game, or go fish with them.
This publication from NCTM was one of my textbooks for a math specialist course through UW-Stout. If you teach math in any grade, it is a must-read.
